GROW YOUR LIFE YOUR WAY

How does your garden grow?

Look around.

What do you see? Friends that speak positively? Family gatherings that enrich? Flowers? Beautiful trees?

If not:

1st, Set a Goal for yourself. What would you like out of friendships? Family gatherings? The place you call home?

2nd, Reality Check. What would you have to do in order to achieve your goals? Shift conversations with friends toward positive vibes? Or have an open and truthful conversation about the dark side? Create peaceful family gatherings where everyone has a voice and helps with dinner? Save money to buy flowers? Plant a tree and water it weekly?

3rd, Options, Options, Options. What options and ideas do you have to accomplish these goals? What resources do you have? Who's in your corner? Who do you trust?

Example: When friend A starts complaining about her life again, what are your options to shift this conversation?

Maybe A is too negative a person and your option is to find a new friend? Maybe A would be willing to look at possibilities about her family? Maybe you can guide her to shift her perspective? Maybe A is a better watch-a-movie friend?

What about your family time? There's an option to set expectations for family dinners, that every has a chance to speak openly. Another option might be to take it outside and change up the scenery, relax in nature? A third option might be to allow each member to choose where to have dinner and what to make?

What about saving for flowers and that tree you want? Maybe look at the discount flowers at the local greenery? Or ask a friend that has a green thumb to share a flower start with you and teach you how to keep it healthy? Maybe your neighbor knows how to split a flowering bush and would share?

4th, Your Will. Which of these goals do you want to accomplish first? Choose the one that gets you the most excited. Pick your option for change and pick a date to complete it by. Share this with a friend who will hold you accountable.

Start right away - pick the time & date & DO!

You will GROW, and so will your garden. ...
